Lentil Bolognese

This delicious Lentil Bolognese makes a healthy evening meal.

You can use this recipe whilst on our Easy Detox Programme.

We used an Edamame Bean Pasta to make this recipe vegan.

  • 1 large onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 stick of celery
  • 1 dash of soy sauce (Optional)
  • 250g puy lentils
  • 400g chopped tomatoes


  1. Chop onion and fry with a small amount of oil
  2. Once the onion softens, crush and then finely chop the garlic and add to the onions
  3. Add 1/2 tsp of each of the herbs
  4. Finely chop the carrots and celery and add to pan
  5. Add a dash of soy sauce (optional)
  6. Then add the puy lentils and mix well
  7. Finally add the chopped tomatoes and mix well
  8. Turn down to a a low heat and leave to simmer while you cook the Vegan pasta of your choice!
  9. Once the pasta is cooked serve and enjoy!
